Madrid (Spain), Aug. 28 (LaPresse) – Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar has opened his own Instagram account, from which he has decided to promote “the liberation of Palestine.” On the profile, he posted a photo holding a Palestinian flag, with the caption “Palestine will be free.” The director noted that users who request to follow him receive a warning beforehand, as he promotes the liberation of Palestine.
“They will not silence me, now more than ever,” Almodóvar wrote. Yesterday, via the Instagram account of his production company El Deseo, the director shared a video calling on the government of Pedro Sánchez to “break diplomatic, commercial, and all kinds of relations with Israel in protest against the genocide of the people of Gaza,” urging the Spanish prime minister to convince European allies to join this cause. The video was also shared on his new personal Instagram profile.
