Ukraine, Zelensky: "Push Moscow toward real negotiations, sanctions on the table"

Brussels, August 25 (LaPresse) – In the meeting with US envoy Keith Kellogg, "we discussed how we can influence the Russians, force them to engage in real negotiations and end the war. Sanctions, tariffs: everything must remain on the agenda. We are ready to commit to a leaders’ format. This is the necessary format to resolve key issues. Now, the same readiness is needed from Moscow." This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on X.
"Military cooperation is important both for Ukraine and the United States, and there are two great opportunities: an agreement on arms supplies and an agreement on drones, which could significantly strengthen our arsenals," the Ukrainian leader added. "We are maintaining momentum in our work within the PURL. This is an important tool for the procurement of American equipment funded by partners, and now we are actively working to involve other countries."
"And, of course, the humanitarian path. The return of all abducted children. We strongly hope that America, the President, and the First Lady of the United States will continue to personally commit to bringing back all the children illegally kidnapped by Russia," Zelensky concluded.
