Madrid (Spain), August 25 (LaPresse) – The director of UNRWA in Spain, Raquel Martí, warned in an interview with Spanish national radio RNE that the capture of Gaza City by Israel “will have a terrible impact on the population.”
Martí stated that the Palestinian population is exhausted, malnourished, ill, and has already been displaced multiple times. “Despite this, Israel is intensifying the bombings and forcing them to move again without any destination, because there is nowhere to go. In the Gaza Strip, there is no shelter for the fleeing population, as Israel has not allowed tents to enter since March, and they have been out of stock for months,” she added, emphasizing that Gaza's refugees will have to take shelter in the streets or in buildings that are practically destroyed.
