(LaPresse) – ‘Today we have settled a debt of honour.’ With these words, the commander of the Colombian Armed Forces, Admiral Francisco Cubides, announced that during prolonged fighting with the army in Guaviare, Willinton Vanegas, alias Dumar, one of the main leaders of the dissidents led by Néstor Gregorio Vera, alias Iván Mordisco, had been killed. The man was wanted by the authorities for the murder of four soldiers in May last year, in an attack in the Bolivian village of Argelia, in Cauca.
