Washington, Aug. 23 (LaPresse) – Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s former partner, told Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche that she was responsible for hiring electricians for all of Epstein’s properties worldwide, adding that she was unaware of any secret video surveillance system.

This was in response to rumors that Epstein secretly recorded powerful men while they engaged in illegal activities with underage girls, then used the footage as blackmail material. No such videos have ever been made public, although photos have surfaced showing alleged hidden cameras inside his Manhattan residence.

“I have never seen a single house with any kind of, let’s say, inappropriate video surveillance,” Maxwell said, as reported in the full transcript of the interview released by the Department of Justice.

She specifically mentioned Epstein’s homes in New York, the Caribbean, New Mexico, and Paris. According to Maxwell, some cameras had been installed on the ground floor of the Palm Beach house, “where he kept his briefcase,” because Epstein “noticed money was being stolen.”
