Milan, August 21 (LaPresse) – In an interview with Sky News Australia, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to take full control of the Gaza Strip, even if Hamas agrees to a last-minute ceasefire. "We will do it anyway. There was never any doubt that we will not leave Hamas there," Netanyahu said. "I believe President Trump said it best when he stated that Hamas must disappear from Gaza. It’s like leaving the SS in Germany."
"But I’ve also said this war could end today," he added. "It can end if Hamas lays down its weapons and frees the remaining 50 hostages, at least 20 of whom are alive — and that’s our goal: to free all the hostages, disarm Hamas, demilitarize Gaza, and offer its people a different future."
