Milan, August 21 (LaPresse) – The UK Foreign Office has summoned the Israeli ambassador to the United Kingdom following Israel's approval on Wednesday of a settlement plan in the West Bank that would effectively bisect the territory. This was confirmed by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
"Today, the Israeli Ambassador to the UK was summoned to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Her Excellency Tzipi Hotovely was summoned in response to the decision by Israel’s Higher Planning Committee to approve plans for settlement construction in Area E1, east of Jerusalem," the Foreign Office stated.
