Rome, Aug 20 (LaPresse) – Hamas has called on people worldwide, especially in Arab and Muslim countries, to join the general strike tomorrow to show support for the population of Gaza. "The occupation army's plans to occupy Gaza and the resulting aggression and displacement of over one million people represent a new chapter in the war of extermination," Hamas said in a statement on Telegram, reported by Al Jazeera. "We warn against international silence on the occupation’s crimes and urge the world to act urgently to end the massacres, hunger, aggression, and siege," the statement added.
