Washington (USA), Aug. 18 (LaPresse) – Giorgia Meloni arrived at the White House for the summit with Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky. The Italian prime minister was preceded by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. They were welcomed by protocol officer Monica Crowley. The meeting with the US president and the Ukrainian leader will take place later, after the working lunch that the European leaders will have before the expanded summit.
