Milan, 17 August (LaPresse) – The meeting of the coalition of willing countries held this afternoon via videoconference, which has just ended, ‘was also an opportunity for leaders to reaffirm once again their unity in support of Ukraine for a just and lasting peace’. This was announced by the European Commission, emphasising that ‘the leaders had a positive exchange to coordinate ahead of tomorrow's meeting with President Trump,’ who will receive Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington. During today's videoconference, Zelensky connected with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen from Brussels. The ‘coalition of volunteers’ is the group of countries that are ready to contribute to the follow-up and support of any future peace agreement between Moscow and Kiev.
