Milan, 16 August (LaPresse) – ‘It is necessary to ensure security in a reliable and long-term manner, with the participation of both Europe and the United States. All issues important to Ukraine must be discussed with Ukraine's participation, and no issues, particularly territorial ones, can be resolved without Ukraine.’ This is what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote in a social media post. ‘It is necessary to achieve real peace, one that is lasting and does not become yet another pause between Russian invasions,’ he added. "It is necessary to end the killings as quickly as possible, to cease fire both on the battlefield and in the skies and against our port infrastructure. All Ukrainian military personnel and civilians held captive must be released, and children kidnapped by Russia must be returned. Thousands of our citizens are still being held captive; they must all be brought home. Pressure must be maintained on Russia as long as the aggression and occupation continue."
