Turin, 12 August (LaPresse) – Discussing the Israeli army's plan to conquer the Gaza Strip, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel will allow the population to leave before the army enters. ‘Gaza City, in the central Gaza Strip, is Hamas' last stronghold,’ he said in an interview with i24 News, reported by Haaretz. Netanyahu then said that residents should be allowed to leave the Gaza Strip if they wish, as has happened during other wars, such as in Syria, Ukraine and Afghanistan. To countries that want to help the Palestinians, ‘open your doors,’ he said.
