Rome, 9 August (LaPresse) – Senior officials from the United States, Ukraine and several European countries are planning to meet in the United Kingdom to try to reach common positions ahead of the planned meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The news was reported by US media outlet Axios, citing three sources familiar with the plans. According to the media, the idea of a face-to-face meeting in the UK emerged yesterday during a teleconference between US, Ukrainian and European officials. Kiev and several NATO allies are concerned that Trump may accept Putin's proposals to end the war without taking their positions into account.
