Rome, Aug. 7 (LaPresse) – Russian presidential adviser Yuri Ushakov told reporters that the Kremlin has not commented on the proposal made by Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, for a trilateral summit involving Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, according to Ria Novosti.
“As for the option of a trilateral meeting, which for some reason was discussed yesterday in Washington, this option was merely mentioned by the U.S. representative during the meeting at the Kremlin. But it was not discussed in any detail. The Russian side left this option completely without comment,” Ushakov stated. “We propose instead to focus on preparing a bilateral meeting with Trump, and we believe it is very important that this meeting be successful and productive,” he added.
