Rome, Aug. 7 (LaPresse) – “The culture of dissent is an integral part of the history of the Israeli people and a core element of the IDF’s organizational culture, both internally and externally. We will continue to express our position without fear—in a concrete, independent, and professional manner,” said IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir regarding the ongoing controversy with the political leadership over the occupation of the Gaza Strip, as reported by Israeli broadcaster Kan.
“We will continue to act responsibly, with integrity and determination, thinking only of the good of the country and its security,” he added.
