Milan, 6 August (LaPresse) – ‘Both Ministers Nordio and Piantedosi, as well as Undersecretary Mantovano, were fully aware of the content of the requests for cooperation sent by the CPI and, in particular, of the arrest warrant issued against Almasri.’ This was stated by the Court of Ministers in its request for authorisation to proceed against Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio, Minister of the Interior Matteo Piantedosi, and Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano. ‘By not acting on these requests, the former, by ordering the formal expulsion of the wanted person with a measure vitiated by blatant irrationality, and the latter, by arranging for a CAI flight that ensured his immediate return to his country, knowingly and voluntarily helped the aforementioned to evade the searches and investigations of the CPI.’
