Milan, July 31 (LaPresse) – A Delta Airlines flight on the Salt Lake City-Amsterdam route was hit by severe turbulence last night, injuring several passengers and forcing the flight to divert to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, where it landed at 7:45 p.m. local time on Wednesday. The airline stated that 25 passengers were taken to local hospitals for evaluation and treatment. Serious injuries caused by turbulence during flights are quite rare, but scientists warn they could become more common due to climate change.
