Rome, July 30 (LaPresse) – Following the 8.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Russia's Kamchatka region, both Peru and Ecuador have issued tsunami alerts, according to local media reports.
Peru’s Navy Hydrography and Navigation Directorate has issued an alert for the entire coast of the country, while in Ecuador a “high probability” alert has been declared for the Galapagos Islands, with the situation along the country's continental coastline under close monitoring.
