Brussels (Belgium), 24 July (LaPresse/AP) – Chinese President Xi Jinping has called on China and the European Union to deepen their cooperation and mutual trust in order to ensure stability in an increasingly complex international environment. Xi's remarks, reported by Chinese state broadcaster CCTV, came during a meeting in Beijing between the Chinese leader and European Union leaders Ursula von der Leyen and Antonio Costa. Xi also said that Beijing and Brussels should put aside their differences and seek common ground.
