Milan, 23 July (LaPresse) – Following the announcement by US President Donald Trump that a trade agreement had been reached with Japan, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba confirmed the agreement, saying that he would receive details from chief negotiator Ryosei Akazawa, who is in Washington, and would examine them carefully. This was reported by Japanese television station NHK. Ishiba said he was confident that the new agreement would benefit both sides and promote their cooperation. The agreement was reached after Japanese chief negotiator Akazawa Ryosei arrived in Washington this week for the eighth round of talks.
