Frankfurt (Germany), July 16 (LaPresse) – Germany is not aware of any ongoing deliveries of the Patriot missile defense system to Ukraine. “I cannot confirm that anything is currently on its way. I am not aware of it,” said a spokesperson for the German Ministry of Defense during a press conference. U.S. President Donald Trump had previously stated that the first Patriot deliveries were already en route from Germany. However, the Defense Ministry spokesperson said that a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group (UDCG) will take place on Monday to discuss the supply of additional Patriot systems to the country under Russian attack. “The goal is to find solutions to implement the delivery of the systems as quickly as possible,” the spokesperson said, explaining that “the exact arrangements are still being coordinated, and the precise methods for implementing the systems are still part of the coordination process.”
