Rome, 14 July (LaPresse) – The Danish government has decided to provide Ukraine with satellite communications services through the European Defence Agency (EDA). As Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen pointed out, this decision will enable Denmark to contribute to Ukraine's space defence.Space is an area that requires increasing attention in defence policy. In close cooperation with the European Defence Agency, Denmark is now helping to strengthen Ukraine's satellite communications for its defence against Russia. Space solutions have enormous potential to improve the defence capabilities of Ukraine, Denmark and Europe,‘ he said. As part of the project, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have access to special terminals for satellite communication. ’This will significantly improve Ukraine's ability to continue its fight for freedom against the illegal Russian invasion. The terminals will provide reliable and secure communications, which can be crucial for conducting military operations. This solution was requested by Ukraine," said the Danish Ministry of Defence. The ministry also noted that EDA representatives expect other EU countries to follow Denmark's example and consider similar projects for the Ukrainian armed forces.
