Milan, July 10 (LaPresse) – A car struck several pedestrians on a sidewalk in central Malmö, Sweden, leaving at least five people injured and taken to the hospital by ambulance, according to local media. The incident occurred on Föreningsgatan, a central street. Police and emergency services were alerted at 5:41 p.m. Initial reports suggest it was an accident, not a deliberate act. The driver, a man in his 20s, has been detained and will be questioned by police. Aftonbladet reports that two of the injured are children. Police have set up roadblocks in the area and will question witnesses.
