Milan, July 2 (LaPresse) – Microsoft plans to cut around 9,000 jobs in what would be the second major round of layoffs this year, aimed at reducing the company’s costs. Bloomberg reports this, noting that – according to a company spokesperson – the number represents less than 4% of Microsoft's total workforce.
"We continue to implement the necessary organizational changes to best position the company and our teams for success in a dynamic market," the spokesperson told Bloomberg.
These layoffs follow a previous round of cuts in May, which affected around 6,000 employees.
