Rome, 28 June (LaPresse) – Hamas sources have told the Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that the contacts and meetings taking place simultaneously in Cairo and Doha could be “the most serious” in some time, especially given the “greater willingness” of the United States to reach an agreement. According to the sources, the current contacts are focused on finding consensus on the agreement and negotiating certain details at a later stage, during indirect meetings that could be held in Cairo or Doha. According to the sources, it is ‘too early to talk about a breakthrough’ and that reaching an agreement, ‘even if only provisional’, could take two or three weeks.
