Milan, June 23 (LaPresse) – Russia launched a wave of missile and drone attacks on Kyiv and the surrounding region overnight on June 23, killing five people and injuring 13 others, according to local officials.
The worst damage occurred in the Shevchenkivskyi district, according to the Kyiv Independent, where a five-story building caught fire after the strike. At least four people were killed in that attack.
Just outside the city center, in the Bila Tserkva district of Kyiv Oblast, one woman was killed and eight others were injured, according to the Kyiv Oblast Military Administration.
Three more people were injured in the Sviatoshynskyi district, Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko said. At least two others were reported wounded in other parts of the city, according to officials. Casualties were also reported in other areas of the capital and the wider Kyiv Oblast, including Bucha, a town just northwest of Kyiv.
