Rome, June 23 (LaPresse) – Ebrahim Zolfaqari, spokesperson for the Iranian army, stated in a video from the central headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya that the United States should expect “severe consequences” for its actions.
“Mr. Trump, gambler, you may start this war — but we will be the ones to end it,” Zolfaqari declared in English at the end of his recorded statement.
Echoing his remarks, Major General Sayyid Abdolrahim Mousavi, the newly appointed Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, said in a statement reported by the Mehr news agency:
“The United States, by continuing its unconditional support of the barbaric and aggressive Zionist regime, has openly and directly entered the war, violating the sovereignty of Islamic Iran and the sacred soil of our country.”
