Tel Aviv (Israel), June 16 (LaPresse/AP) – The Israeli military has claimed to have achieved “air superiority” over Tehran. The IDF reported that it has weakened Iran’s air defenses and missile systems to such an extent that its aircraft can now operate over the Iranian capital without facing serious threats. The military stated that Israel now controls the skies from western Iran to Tehran.
"Overnight, we carried out a large-scale strike on multiple targets in the heart of Iran. More than 50 fighter jets were used in the attack, destroying over 120 surface-to-surface missile launchers. That represents one-third of the surface-to-surface missile arsenal in the hands of the Iranian regime," said IDF spokesperson Efi Defferin.
