Rome, 14 June (LaPresse) – At dawn today, a new round of attacks against targets inside Israel, with explosions caused by Iranian missiles. Reports from the Iranian news agency Irna say that missiles were launched from the capital Tehran and from Kermanshah, in western Iran, towards targets in the heart of Israel. Iran launched several barrages of ballistic missiles against Israel, according to The Times of Israel, forcing Israelis across the country to run to shelters as the sky was lit up by flashes of light and fireballs from incoming missiles and Israeli interceptions. More than 80 people were injured in the attacks, three of whom died from their injuries, the Israeli website reported, adding that several people were seriously injured. Iranian media claimed that hundreds of missiles were launched in the first attack late on Friday evening, while the Israeli Defence Forces estimate that the actual number was less than 100.
