Milan, 9 June (LaPresse) – The legal team handling Greta Thunberg's case, after Israel blocked the Freedom Flotilla Coalition ship Madleen on which she was travelling with 11 other activists, believes that the Swedish activist will be taken to Givon prison, near the city of Ramla, for illegal immigrants upon arrival in the Israeli port of Ashdod, and that the young woman could then appear in court tomorrow morning. This was reported by the Swedish newspaper Expressen, emphasising that Israel's plan for Greta Thunberg and the other activists is to expel them within 24 hours. ‘Based on previous experience, Greta Thunberg and the others will be taken to Givon prison, near the city of Ramla. This is where so-called illegal immigrants are detained and there is a court that can quickly decide on deportation,’ said lawyer Nariman Shehade Zoabi of the human rights organisation Adalah, quoted by Expressen.
