No warnings or alerts have been issued for coastal areas. Heavy rain is expected until Monday, with total rainfall of between 5 and 10 centimetres, and up to 15 centimetres in limited areas, in parts of the Mexican states of Guerrero, Michoacan, Colima and Jalisco. The rain could cause flooding and landslides. The hurricane centre has warned that in the coming days, waves affecting some areas of Mexico's south-western coast could cause very dangerous sea conditions and rip currents.
