USA, FBI: “Colorado attacker had been planning the assault for a year”

Milan, June 3 (LaPresse) – The man accused of throwing Molotov cocktails at demonstrators participating in a march for the release of Israeli hostages in Colorado on Sunday had been planning the attack for a year, according to the FBI, as reported by the BBC.

Mohammed Sabry Soliman, 45, is facing federal hate crime charges as well as state charges of attempted murder, assault, and use of explosive devices. He made a brief court appearance on Monday. Authorities say the Egyptian national targeted a group of pro-Israel demonstrators at an outdoor mall in Boulder, shouting “Free Palestine” as he threw incendiary devices, injuring eight people.

At least 16 unexploded Molotov cocktails were later found nearby. Investigators say he identified the group online before targeting them.
