Milan, 2 June (LaPresse) – ‘Today, during negotiations in Istanbul, the Ukrainian side officially handed over to the Russian side a list of Ukrainian children who are to be repatriated.’ This was reported by the head of the office of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Andriy Yermak. ‘We are talking about hundreds of children whom Russia has illegally deported, forcibly transferred or detained in temporarily occupied territories,’ Yermak stressed, pointing out that ‘the return of Ukrainian children is an integral part of a just and lasting peace and a key element of trust, the first proof of sincerity of intentions.’ "We are waiting for a response. The ball is in Russia's court. True good faith is not demonstrated with words, but with deeds. And now is the time to prove it,‘ said Yermak, recalling that ’in March, at a meeting in Jeddah, we confirmed our readiness for a 30-day ceasefire with a humanitarian component."
