Rome, May 31 (LaPresse) – The New York Police Department is investigating two detectives who were responsible for security at the luxury townhouse in Manhattan where the Italian, Michael Valentino Teofrasto Carturan, was reportedly kidnapped and tortured for three weeks by two cryptocurrency traders. This was reported by the New York Times.
The two detectives are Roberto Cordero, who also served in the mayor Eric Adams' security detail, and Raymond J. Low. Both have been suspended from duty. Cordero allegedly picked up the Italian at the airport on May 6 and took him to the townhouse, where he was held captive until his escape last week.
