Rome, May 31 (LaPresse) – The American airline United Airlines has announced that it will resume flights from New York to Tel Aviv with a single flight on June 5. The following day, it will resume the second daily flight between the two cities. "The resumption" of flights "follows a thorough assessment of operational considerations for the region and close collaboration with the unions representing our flight attendants and pilots," United said in a statement reported by the Times of Israel. The airline had suspended flights between New York and Tel Aviv on May 4, after a ballistic missile from Yemen struck an area of Israel’s main international airport.
