Rome, May 31 (LaPresse) – Hamas will present today its response to the proposal put forward by the U.S. envoy David Whitkoff for a ceasefire. This was reported by a senior official of the Islamist group to the media outlet al-Risala. The senior official stated that the document was prepared after a series of consultations within the movement in which the details of the proposal and its possible consequences on the field and politically were examined. The source emphasized that "the response will express the movement's position on the proposed initiative, in light of the demands of the Palestinian people, in order to stop the genocide."
