Frankfurt (Germany), 26 May (LaPresse) – ‘Putin tramples on human rights, which is also an affront to US President Donald Trump’. This was stated by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, speaking to broadcaster Ard. Trump tried with all his might to bring Putin to the negotiating table: ‘and now this is the reaction,’ Wadephul commented in reference to the latest Russian attacks. According to the German minister, this shows that Putin does not want peace: ‘He wants to continue the war and we cannot allow him to do so.’ Therefore, further sanctions are being prepared and decided upon at European level. ‘There will be a clear reaction from the West and I believe also from the United States,’ Wadephul added.
