Deir al-Balah (Gaza Strip), 26 May (LaPresse) – The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said it had struck a school in Gaza City to target militants operating inside. According to the IDF, Hamas and Islamic Jihad had a militant command and control centre in the building, which they used to gather information for attacks. ‘The command and control centre was used by terrorists to plan and gather information in order to carry out terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops in the area,’ the army said. At least thirty people were killed.
