Milan, 24 May (LaPresse) – Many Israeli citizens have reported on social media that they received phone calls during the night from unknown numbers with recorded messages from hostages begging for help to be freed, with the sound of sirens and explosions in the background. The voices of the hostages were taken from videos published by Hamas. In one of the reported calls, a person can be heard saying, “There are hostages in Gaza, why are you waiting?”. In a statement, the Hostages and Missing Families Forum said the calls were not made on their behalf. The National Cyber Security Directorate is investigating the calls, which came from numbers including 0747375311, 0799444000 and 0722604986, and advises blocking them.
