Milan, 23 May (LaPresse) – At least 16 Palestinians have been killed and dozens more wounded in a series of Israeli air strikes that hit the Gaza Strip in the early hours of today. This was reported by the Palestinian news agency Wafa, citing local and medical sources. Ten people were killed and several others wounded in more than five drone strikes that targeted the entrance to the town of Deir al-Balah, in central Gaza. According to eyewitnesses quoted by Wafa, some of the victims were civilians trying to help the wounded when they were hit. Three other people, including a girl, died in Gaza City in the bombing of an apartment. In Khan Younis, two brothers were killed and their father was seriously injured in an Israeli raid that hit their family home in the western part of the city's refugee camp.
