Madrid (Spain), 20 May (LaPresse) – Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares has called for sanctions against Israel for blocking humanitarian aid to Gaza. ‘The time for statements is over. What is happening is too serious, a military campaign that makes no sense other than to turn Gaza into a huge cemetery,’ the minister said on the sidelines of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels, according to Spanish media reports. “We must exert all our diplomatic pressure on Israel to stop the war and break the blockade of humanitarian aid,” he added.
