Rome, 19 May (LaPresse) – Former US President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer, which has spread to his bones. CNN reported this, citing a statement released by Biden's personal office. "Last week, President Joe Biden was examined for a new finding of a prostate lump, after experiencing increased urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterised by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with bone metastases,‘ the statement said. ’Although this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive, which allows for effective management," it added. Biden and his family ‘are evaluating treatment options with his doctors.’ ‘Melania and I are heartbroken by Joe Biden's recent medical diagnosis. We send our deepest wishes to Jill and the family, and wish Joe a speedy and positive recovery,’ US President Donald Trump wrote on Truth.
