UK: 21-Year-Old Arrested for Arson at Starmer’s Private Residence

London (United Kingdom), May 13 (LaPresse) – Police have arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of setting fires at the private home of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, another property linked to him, and a car. Scotland Yard reported that the suspect was arrested on charges of arson with intent to endanger life. The news comes after a fire broke out overnight yesterday, damaging the door of the house where Starmer and his family lived before he was elected and moved to Downing Street.

Police stated that the arrest also relates to two other fires that may be connected: a vehicle fire near Starmer’s home that occurred on Sunday, and a fire at the door of a property in another part of north London dating back to May 8. This second property is a house converted into flats and is also linked to Starmer. No injuries have been reported in any of the fires.
