Ukraine, Kremlin: ‘No truce without halt to arms shipments to Kiev’

Brussels, 10 May (LaPresse) – To end the fighting in Ukraine, the United States and the West must stop supplying weapons to Ukraine. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov, according to Russian media reports. ‘If we are talking about a ceasefire, then what should we do with the arms supplies that arrive in Ukraine every day from the United States and European countries?’ Peskov said. The spokesman stressed that if these supplies are not stopped, Kiev could exploit the ceasefire to train new troops and give rest to those currently engaged in combat.
