Rome, 9 May (LaPresse) – Pope Leo XIV ‘will be a second Pope Francis’. This was assured by his brother John Prevost, interviewed by CNN. ‘I think he will follow in his footsteps by working for the less fortunate,’ he explained, emphasising that in his opinion he will be a good Pope because he has ‘a deep feeling for the dispossessed, for the poor, for those who are not listened to’. John Prevost went on to say that his brother ‘in his heart, in his soul, wanted to be a missionary. He didn't want to be a bishop or a cardinal, but that's what he was asked to do and that's what he did,’ adding that he will be very active around the world and ‘will say what he thinks.’
