Memphis (Tennessee, USA), May 8 (LaPresse/AP) – Three former Memphis police officers have been acquitted of all charges, including second-degree murder, in the death of Tyre Nichols, a 29-year-old African American man who was stopped while driving and died three days later after being pepper-sprayed and tasered. The jury found Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, and Justin Smith not guilty after a nine-day trial held at the state court in Memphis.
