Milan, May 6 (LaPresse) – Russian President Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian. The two discussed progress in the nuclear talks between Tehran and the United States, and Putin expressed Moscow's readiness to "facilitate the advancement of this dialogue with the goal of reaching a fair agreement based on the principles of international law."
This was reported by the Kremlin, according to Russian news agency Interfax.
The leaders exchanged views on current international and regional issues, including the status of negotiations between Iran and the U.S., mediated by Oman, on Iran’s nuclear program.
The Kremlin confirmed Russia’s willingness to support the progress of these talks toward a fair agreement grounded in international legal principles.
Putin and Pezeshkian also discussed the "expansion of mutually beneficial trade and investment ties, including through the implementation of major joint projects in the transport and energy sectors."
