Seoul (South Korea), 30 Apr (LaPresse/AP) – About 600 North Korean soldiers died and more than 4,000 were injured fighting alongside the Russian army in Ukraine. This was stated by the South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) during a closed-door meeting of the parliamentary committee. Reporting the figure to reporters was MP Lee Seong Kweun. Lee added that the NIS estimates that 2,000 wounded North Korean soldiers were repatriated to North Korea by air or rail between January and March, while the dead were reportedly cremated in Russia before their bodies were repatriated.
