Rome, April 28 (LaPresse) – More than 200 flights were canceled or delayed at Lisbon Airport due to the blackout that affected Spain and the Iberian Peninsula. According to the flight tracking website Flightaware, 59 flights (17%) departing from Humberto Delgado Airport in the Portuguese capital were canceled, while 76 (22%) were delayed, reports El País. According to the same source, 40 incoming flights (12%) scheduled to land in Lisbon were canceled and 28 (8%) were delayed. Portugal's civil aviation authority, ANA-Aeroportos, activated emergency generators at Porto and Faro airports, where planes continue to land and take off, while Lisbon Airport is operating under more severe restrictions.
