Frankfurt (Germany), April 28 (LaPresse) – CDU delegates have voted "by an overwhelming majority" in favor of the government agreement between the Union (CDU-CSU) and the SPD. This was announced by conservative spokesman Michael Kretschmer after the vote at the CDU's "mini-congress" to approve the coalition pact with the Social Democrats for the future German government.
The vote by members of the Social Democratic Party on the coalition agreement is still ongoing. Until midnight on Tuesday, the roughly 358,000 party members can still vote on whether to join the government with the CDU-CSU.
